“This is to again say how greatly I appreciate the health screening I was given last month. As you know, my screening results for blood sugar (159) showed that I’m ‘borderline diabetic’. [Fortunately, my blood pressure and cholesterol findings showed excellent!] Right away after the screening, I got diabetes-style cookbooks, and began eating according to that style. Per your recommendation, I promptly saw my personal physician. My doctor immediately had me go to the lab next to her office for the hemoglobin test. It confirmed that I’m on the borderline between pre-diabetic to diabetic. … As I informed you, after my screening I told my family of my pre-diabetic status to give them a medical heads up. My three children have also shown borderline diabetes. I also found out that my father (now deceased) had been borderline diabetic (and maybe, in his late years, diabetic). Thank goodness for the health screening! It has maybe ultimately saved my life (at least from the diabetes standpoint!), and is certainly enhancing my health! Plus, I could inform my children so they could take appropriate action regarding this inherited health challenge. Again, thank you! Some things, like diabetes, are ‘silent killers’. There is a dramatic beneficial difference in our lives when we get such a diagnosis and take corrective measures!”
